The 
Wausau School District has been awarded a $406,194 grant through the Wisconsin Department of Justice School Safety Program, administered by DOJ's Office of School Safety, to enhance the safety and security measures in our schools. The District hosted a school safety grant press conference at G.D. Jones Elementary School where Attorney General Brad Schimel announced award recipients. Joining District leadership at the press conference were the Wausau Police Department, Marathon County Sheriff's Office, School Board members, and local legislators.
