Christine Kadonsky, Wausau West Social Studies teacher, spent three weeks studying throughout the United States this summer. She participated in the National Endowment for the Humanities Workshop "Manifest Destiny Reconsidered: The Utah Experience" at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She toured Civil War sites in Georgia and South Carolina with the Freedoms Foundation "Civil War South" Program. Her scholarship was sponsored by the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation of Milwaukee. Also, she served as the Teacher Facilitator for the "Marsha Washington and Women of the 18th Century" Institute at the Washington's residence, Mount Vernon in Virginia.
